Pines manufacture a volatile compounds known as terpenes which have a characteristic smell. These are evaporated from the trees to produce both the pine aroma and the blue haz…e associated with pine or coniferous forests. Some insects and hops (for beer making) also produce these compounds. . The scent of pine is fairly similar to that of rosemary, if you're familiar with that. Pine tree air freshener.

Oxygen is a product of photosynthesis, and as light is required for photosynthesis, and no light is present at night, there is no tree that releases oxygen during the night.. … Hope that helps, lm 9
why cant you smell pine from your pine trees?
Tree of Heaven (Ailanthus altissima) Tree-of-heaven (also called ailanthus, Chinese sumac, stinking sumac, stinktree, and stinkwood) is a non-native, invasive tree species f…rom Asia. It has spread throughout this country where it is a nuisance in rural and urban communities alike. This thicket-forming species can grow up to 20 feet in a year and can attain a height of eighty feet and a diameter of three feet. It has now become a serious ecological and economic threat to our native forests and waterways and an eyesore in urban areas. It can also take over disturbed sites around oil and gas wells, in old pastures, along forest edges and fencerows, and in woods that have been heavily cut over. Ailanthus has no timber or wildlife value-it doesn't even make good firewood. This very hardy and invasive tree also produces chemicals that suppress and kill nearby native vegetation growing under and around it, resulting in tree-of-heaven thickets that become somewhat open.
During the day, a tree will take in carbon dioxide to use in photosynthesis, and give off oxygen created in the process. At night, when there is no sunlight to power photosynt…hesis, trees get energy through cellular respiration, oxidizing some of their stored carbohydrates. Thus at night they take in oxygen and give off carbon dioxide.
It depends on which kind of flowers you're talking about. Flowers like roses smell stronger at night. Some don't even have a scent.
It is wiser to sleep under a tree during the day than at night because... During the day, in presence of sunlight, plants use up carbon dioxide and release oxygen for photosyn…thesis. But during the night plants can't photosynthesize as there is no sunlight, which is needed for photosynthesis. So instead of taking in carbon dioxide and giving out oxygen, they do the opposite. Therefor there is an increased level of carbon dioxide in the air. If someone is sleeping under a tree at night the increased level of carbon dioxide will affect their health. So sleeping under a tree at day time is wiser then sleeping under a tree at night time.
What does the temperature have to be during the day and night for the sap in the maple trees to flow?
cold temperatures make the sap work its way up the tree, so during the day, when the temperature is warmer, the sap can flow down
Pine trees will always have needle shaped leaves, they stay like this forever. The "needle shaped leaves" are called pine needles. Most pine trees belong to a group of trees c…alled Evergreens. Like it's name, the tree is evergreen.
it is wise to sleep under a tree during day not at night because plants release oxygen during day but at night they release co2 which is harmful
