you have a bad connection somewhere. If your terminals are clean. Then check the connection to the starter, that's the motor that turns the engine over. Follow the red cable (the positive lead) that cable will have (should have) a nut on it.Tighten that or wigglle it, try the ignition switch, if it starts you know that's the problem.
If that's not it then it could be the neutral safety switch. You will need some experience to locate that.
If just clicking and not starting, most likely a dead battery.
You click on the remote of the TV and the battery will appear in your screen then you click your backpack click use battery near the remote car .
That could be the alternator or the battery. Try jump starting your car with another car's battery. If it still does not start, it is probably the alternator. If it starts, your battery is dead.
Your car won't make a sound even With a good battery will just "click"
The battery does not have sufficient voltage to start the car when it's cold. Have the battery checked out. If it still goes click click after running the car for a while, have the alternator checked also. A bad battery will not hold a charge and a bad alternator will not recharge the battery, (That is the reason to have the battery checked first). Make sure the connections at the battery are clean and tight.
Car batteries are exactly what you would assume. A car battery is essential to starting, and operating a automotive vehicle. They are responsible for SLI, Starting, lighting, and Igniting.
