The alcohol you drank irritated the lining of your stomach. It made it raw and sensitive. The Zantac was taken too late and the capsaicin ( the chemical in hot peppers) in the salsa just made things worse. It would be like scraping your knee, putting lotion on it then washing it with vinegar for a few hours after. Treat your stomach to a few days of bland food and plenty of liquids (not alcohol) to let it rest and it should go away.
