This was only in the film. In the book this never happens. According to director David Yates, he wanted this to happen and this is seen various times throughout the films. Also, what we see between Dumbledore and Voldemort is a different version of Priori Incantatem. Priori Incantatem is defined as when two wands duel and an energy connects them both, when both wands have the same wand core. Since Harry and Voldemorts wands share the same phoenix feather, this is possible. Don't forget the ghosts of those who Voldemort killed appeared when Harry and Voldemorts wands connected in the fourth film.

Why did Dumbledore insist on Voldemort being the one to kill Harry Potter in book 7?

Voldemort also alluded to this before Dumbledore as he always said that it must be him to kill Potter. Dumbledore would have realised the fact that the sacrifice that Lily Potter made for Harry resided in his blood and when Voldemort used Harry's blood to regain his body, he also came under that same protection so they were both living effectively as one person as the prophecy stated "none can live whilst the other survives". Therefore the blood protection had to be broken and for this to happen, one had to die without resistance for that to effectively happen. Dumbledore may have also suspected that Harry was a Horcrux as well since both Voldemort and Harry were Parclemouths and of the link Harry's scar gave in the Order of the Phoenix. If Voldemort also killed the Horcrux residing in Harry as well, then it would be sweet justice in helping bring him down.

What if harry joined forces with lord Voldemort?

Well, Harry wouldn't be able to talk if he got too near voldemort, but if he could, then voldemort would probably kill him. but if you're saying that harry would say thatvoldemort was a horcrux, then he would still kill him. HP ROCKSIf Harry Potter told Lord Voldemort that Harry was a horcrux, then, pressumably, somebody else than Lord Voldemort would have had to destroy the horcrux in Harry Potter. As it is, neither Harry Potter nor Lord Voldemort knew it - it was a surprise for both of them.

Why did Albus Dumbledore come to Harry Potter's mind when Lord Voldemort uses a killing curse on him?

He came to Harry's mind because he had planned all of this out. He knew what had to happen to Harry and how to make that happen. He had to explain to Harry what was left to do, what had happened, and what Harry didn't know what had happened. Dumbledore also wanted to apologize for his secretive life.

How does Harry Potter become the master of the Deathly Hallows?

There are three deathly hallows:The Elder Wand was gained by Dumbledore after dueling Gregorovitch. In Harry Potter and the Half-Blood PrinceDraco Malfoy disarmed Dumbledore and the Elder Wand recognised him as the new master but the only person who knew this was Dumbledore himself. Voldemort retrieved the wand from Dumbledore's tomb but it didn't work properly for him and he killed Severus Snape who he believed to be the master of it because he killed Dumbledore. At Malfoy Manor Harry took several wands that Draco was holding and became the owner of them, one of these was Bellatrix which meant Harry was the rightful owner, nobody knew this until during the final battle when Harry worked it out. When Harry dueled Voldemort in the Great Hall, his disarming Expelliarmus charm repelled Voldemort's Killing Curse (Avada Kedavra), and the wand flew out of Voldemort's hand to Harry, it's rightful owner. Afterwards, he uses the wand to repair his phoenix feather wand, and does not keep it for himself. The Resurrection Stone was found by Dumbledore in the house of the Gaunt. It had a curse on it, crippling Dumbledore's hand, which Harry noticed when he came to retrieve him from the Dursleys in Half-Blood Prince. Dumbledore used the Sword of Gryffindor to destroy the Horcrux of Voldemort's that the Stone contained, and Professor Snaped helped to contain the effects of the curse placed upon it by Voldemort. Dumbledore hid the Stone in the Snitch that Harry caught in his mouth in his first year that he bequeathed to Harry in his will. The Golden Snitch was given to Harry by Rufus Scrimgeour in the Burrow during the summer after Dumbledore died. Snitch's have never been touched by a human before it is caught by the seeker and it has flesh recognition so Dumbledore was able to hide something that only Harry could retrieve. It was expected that something would happen when Harry touched it but as Harry points out, he nearly swallowed the first snitch he ever caught. When his mouth was put to it, the Snitch read, "I open at the close." Before Harry went to his death in the Forbidden Forest at Hogwarts, he opened the Snitch to find the Resurrection Stone. He released his father (James), Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, and his mother (Lily). They walked with him until he came to the clearing where Voldemort and his Death Eaters were waiting. Harry casts it away into the forest. The Invisibilty Cloak was passed down to him by means of Dumbledore from his father, James Potter. Dumbledore had been borrowing it when Lily and James had been murdered by Lord Voldemort. It had been in the Peverell family until it finally came to Harry in his first year at Hogwarts on Christmas Day. He used the Cloak in his many adventures and night wanderings at Hogwarts.

What happens in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince?

Many important things happen, but one of the main points is that Harry and Dumbledore learn about Tom Riddle's (Voldemort's) past and come to the conclusion that he has split his soul into 7 pieces, which are concealed in different objects (these are called horcruxes). If you destroy all of the horcruxes, Voldemort will become mortal again, and will be able to die. Harry and Dumbledore set of to find and destroy a horcrux, and Dumbledore ultimately gets killed. As a side note, Harry and ginny's as well as Ron and hermione's relationship becomes more pronounced. There is so much to explain, so honestly I would just read the book. Trust me, it is worth it!

Was the resurrection stone apart of the ring that Dumbledore wore and was this the Gaunt ring and if so why did he put the stone in the Snitch?

The resurrection stone was hidden inside Marvolo Gaunt's ring which, without knowing about the stone, Voldemort turned into a Horcrux. Dumbledore put the ring on his finger, desperate to use the stone, and didn't consider that the Horcrux would curse him. Had he not gotten to Severus Snape in time he would have died. Snape managed to trap the curse in his hand but he would only survive another year. This allowed Dumbledore time to make plans for what would happen after his death. He arranged for Severus to kill him and sorted out his will leaving Harry, Ron and Hermione the things they would need to complete their mission. Dumbledore already knew that Harry was a Horcrux and would have to die to defeat Voldemort. So, he hid the ressurection stone inside the first snitch he ever caught and charmed it so that it would open when Harry said he was going to die, allowing him time with his parents, Sirius and (although Dumbledore wouldn't have known) Remus.

When was Voldemort back before Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and how does it happen?

Previously, Lord Voldemort appeared in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets as the younger version of himself stored in his diary, which was a Horcrux. Harry stabbed the diary, thus destroying the Horcrux, before Voldemort could return to full strength.
