Russia is one of the least populated countries in the world. Low birth rates and abnormally high death rates caused the population to decline. Alcohol is blamed for half the deaths of among Russians aged 15 to 54.
Population density is a function of population/area and Russia is a very large country. Its total area is over 6.6 million square miles (17.1 million square kilometers). In contrast, the land area of the United States is 3.79 million square miles (9.8 million square kilometers).
Yes. Russia is the largest country in the world having a land area of approximately 17,078,000 sq km (much of which is Siberia and largely uninhabitable) and a population of about 145 million people.
Because the land is huge + it is hard to survive its freezing cold
Because it's so huge and most of it's icy wasteland.
It's very, very cold there.

Sparsely usually means appearing only occasionally, for example a sparsely populated area has only a few people living there. The opposite would be things compacted into a small area, so the opposite of sparsely would be 'densely'
in the north and south of Kenya it is sparsely due to climate and relief in the western and central of Kenya and of course Nairobi is densely, so its different in different areas of Kenya. hope this helps xx :)
I am not really sure I think it is to do with the fact the area is filled with desert land
The conditions in some of them are not great for living in. Some of the most northern parts of Europe are near the Arctic, so they are very cold. They are not good for supporting people, due to the climate and the quality of land, or just being mainly ice. There are also long periods of darkness during the winter months. They are not ideal for building towns and cities. So naturally they are sparsely populated.
Sparsely means only occassionally or thinly. So, sparsely settled means people occupy the space, but spread out. Example: The sparsely settled colony of 5000 square acres only had 40 residents, with most of them living in town and some living on the outskirts.
No, the population is well managed by the nine provinces with 54 million people, so the country is not densely populated.
