your window regulator is going out. 10-18-08. As the car gets old, grime restricts the movement of the glass in the door. Spray silicone or graphite lube on all mechanical joints and also along the rear edge window guide of the door.
The same thing happened to my 88 PA. I just sprayed WD40 in the window seal it works fine now
I got the same problem, when the window goes up and down, see if the window tilt a little bit, if it, then should be the windows regulator that is bent, that's why the motor is forcing it, replace it and that is it.

A power window relay switch relays the power from the car's battery, to the switch itself, and then to the window motor. When pressing the button inside of the car it allows the power to go from the relay switch to the motor and roll the window up or down.
Binding window trim. Can you help it up. Silicone spray the window tracks. test the window switch
Anyone have prob w/ sentra power window? Won't go up or down. IF YOUR WINDOW IS NOT MOVING AT ALL(UP OR DOWN) IT IS YOUR MOTOR BUT IF IT IS MOVING EITHER UP OR DOWN, MEANING IT WILL MOVE ONE DIRECTION BUT NOT ANOTHER THEN IT'S YOUR SWITCH
Power the window all the way down then hold it for five seconds after its completely down. then power the window all the way up and hold it for an additional five seconds. The convertible top should be up during this window 'reset'.
