Because you have chosen a torrent that has very few peers/seeds. Either that or your firewall/router is blocking the connection to some degree.
It will only go as fast as your internet connection will allow. If you want to speed it up and are sure your router/firewall isn't a problem then either upgrade your internet connection or choose a similar file with as many seeds as you can get.
For most people download speed issues in torrents are due to improper setup of their bittorrent client.
This guide should help your uTorrent speed:
Optimizing µTorrent For Speed

Also, torrents with a high seed to peer ratio will generally give higher download speeds.
Because the download speed of torrents is dependent on your peer's upload speeds, which are, in general, much less than your download speeds. Networks are often provisioned to offer much higher download speeds to users since the majority of traffic goes in that direction.
Other potential reasons might be security measures or throttling on ports often used by torrent clients imposed by your ISP that might be slowing your connection (often the case in university or company LANs), or you are using a torrent client/tracker that requires that you upload more data to other users before you are allowed to download more yourself.
It depends on a large number of factors, including the size of the file, the number of seeders and leechers, your available bandwidth, and the bandwidth of the seeders and leechers.
It will depend on the speed of your internet and how many seeders and peer there are in the file.
Therefore the more seeders, the faster.
Becacause the data being transferedis freakin huge probably! Either that or you have terrible bandwidth and have sucky internet data tranfer per bit.
U CAN DOWNLOAD IN TORRENT AND U DOWNLOAD TORRENT SOFTWARE AND THEN U DOWNLOAD THE FILES IN TORRENT SOFTWARE IN UR PC. IT DO TAKE LONG TIM. (I AM CURRENTLY DOWNLOADING MOVIES TOO. The time to download a torrent on high speed internet can vary accordingly. The speed will be determined by the size of the torrent the media contained in the torrent. It can also be determined by the capability of the computer being used.
If you are using Bitlord or any torrent downloader I think you can finish the download in 2 days, of course not the whole day =] HOPE THIS HELPS
The Pirate bay is a torrent download website. There are many other torrent download websites such as torrents, Mininova and Torrent Reactor. You need a program like Vuze, Bittorrent, Miro and Free Download Manager to extract files from torrents (downloading torrents is fast but extracting them may take time) Torrents with lots of seeders are faster to extract, but those with many leechers may take a long tme.
Yes, most of the time. But not anymore if you use online cloud services like filestream. With just 2 bucks a day you can download as many torrent files you want and your download speed will be same as your ISP provides. I was able to download torrent files with the speed of 10MBPS++ and simultaneously downloading 10 files with filestream.Register on filestream and paste "Magnet link" or upload '.torrent" files and filestream will fetch the torrent files for you and within 1 minute , direct download link will be provided which you can use to download with IDM.
There is no set standard. Torrents rely ENTIRELY on how many people are seeding them, and how much bandwidth they have to seed. It is also capped by your ISP's download speed. Some ISPs, such as Comcast, will limit or prevent bittorrents from downloading.
Download µtorrent at www.utorrent.com After you download it install it after the installation you need to download a torrent you can get torrents from many sites, www.isohunt.com works well, you can also google torrents, just put torrent behind what you want after clicking on the download for your torrent, open it, when it asks what program to open it in, find µtorrent. it will take a while for the torrent to finish downloading, and it will lag your computer so gaming is not recomended. after it finishes downloading, right click<open containing folder now take the file out and click stop, we dont want to seed
You could go onto pirate bay and download a torrent, then download the Sims 3( on Pirate Bay), it will take a long time and this is ILLEGAL. So I wouldn't recommend to be honest.
You can take a television recorder and record it, or you could wait for someone else to do that and put it on a torrent in which you can download it from that.
1-3 days
Maybe you should tell your download speed.
That depends on the speed of your internet connection and the health of the torrent. If you see that you are getting a constant speed on the torrent, you can calculate in Google the amount of time. So if you are getting an average download speed of 100kBps (bittorrent clients show speeds in Bytes), you would enter this in Google: 7GB/100kBps and get 20.3889778 hours
