Why are dogs tired after they take a bath?

Answer to this question depends upon whether the dog took its own bath by swimming or was given a bath by its owner. A dog that jumps into a body of water to swim will get tired from the strenuous exercise. No dog being hosed down by its owner will usually tire from the experience because the animal isn't exerting itself.
