Some buildings do. Lightning is extremely hot, but exposure to the extreme temperature is brief, sometimes too brief to ignite some flammable materials, especially if they are wet, as is common during a thunderstorm. Additionally, not all building materials are flammable.
Because the car is grounded, the lightning finds a path through the car to the ground, rather than through you. You do not want to be touching the ground and car at the same time lightning strikes the car, then the lightning will go through you to the ground.
i just dont know the answer lol
Why dont you find out? You would obviously have to write down some form of statement of attempt number 1 before you actually do attempt to be struck by lightning and in actual fact do not survive to give the readship an update... Anyway good luck in your pursuit of "knowledge".
According to a paper published in 2011 by one of the foremost experts on lightning safety, Chandima Gomes, "animals with a large separation between their front and back feet... are vulnerable to receive lightning injuries due to the dangerous potential differences that may built up between these feet, in the event of nearby lightning." The paper went on to say that taller animals like giraffes and elephants could be more susceptible to "side flashes," where lightning rebounds after striking a nearby tree.Giraffes being long and tall, those two points seem to indicate that they’re more likely to be struck, but because the occurrence of lightning striking an animal is so rare, there is not enough numerical evidence to support the theory. According to Julian Fennessy, a Namibia-based conservationist and chair of the International Giraffe Working Group, "if you're in the wrong place at the wrong time you're susceptible—it's not that giraffes stand out like lightning rods."
they dont. cloud action creates lightning. "vast amounts of static electricity" the release of this electricity makes the air expand and vibrate which creates a sound burst that we hear as thunder.
they dont ATTRACT lightning, but if you got struck by lightning and youwere holding an umbrella, then you could be killed
They significantly reduced (and continue to reduce) the number of fires caused by lightning. It is interesting to note that many religious people of the time thought that it was the height of evil to interfere with God's will by installing lightning rods.
"Perhaps the most famous story of ball lightning unfolded when 18th-century physicist Georg Wilhelm Richmann installed a lightning rod in his home and was struck in the head - and killed - by a "pale blue ball of fire." people dont think of lightning storms as famouse rather the event caused by an individual lightning strike.
You dont ... Move in between the tree and the building on the right side of the buildings
i dont know.stay in your house and dont do anything.
i dont know
dont now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Because if you dont you will burn and might get athsma Because if you dont you will burn and might get athsma Because if you dont you will burn and might get athsma
This is a stupid question, dont see it again!
To avoid being struck by lightning you should do a couple things: 1. Stay out of bodies of water, lightning is attracted to water. 2. dont be in an open area (common sense here) 3. Try to be in a house, car something where you cant get wet and lightning cannot get to you. To sum it all up be smart and dont do stupid things.
no you dont
Lots. One strike once killed over 50 cows on a farm.Well, for one thing it can electricute you... Plus if it strikes a tree that tree could fall on a house, which could fall on someone, who could be severely injured for life, which could send that person's loved one iknto a depression.
