To help the poor people who can't afford to have the life that the middle and high class people live, and because they're not only short of money, but some of them live on the streets, and in the cold, and they have no food, and some of them are ill, and they can't pay for their medications to get better. So the people get involved in charities, to help them, but it's a voluntary thing, not an obligation.
