The historical Jesus was probably born in the fall or spring, not winter. The date of December 25 as Jesus' birthday was chosen by the Roman Catholic Church in the 4th century.

The exact reason why they chose this date is still debated, but it is generally accepted that they chose it to coincide with the major Roman pagan feast of Saturnalia which was already on December 25. This was likely done to help pagans easily convert from celebrating Saturnalia to celebrating Christmas as they were converted to Christianity.

Actually his birthday wasnt actually on December 25. It was actaully in July. But people celebrate it on December 25 because there was supposed to be a holiday on that day anyway so they just made it then. I hope that helped. =)

as i heard from a previous priest (catholic) he converted to Islam.but unfortunately i forgot his name he said that people celebrate december 25th suppositely jesus's birthday but it is actually julius ceaser's birthday the romans set this whole thing because they wanted everyone to keep celebrating this day for ever and they had the perfect oppurtunity to make a lie that it is jesus's birthday and people are following this tradition since then. and the proof is that no one knows when is jesus birthday because 2011 years ago they didn't write this down and it is not even mentioned in Quran and i think this should be enough.
