She was the first female Prime Minister or Britain and the longest reigning Prime Minister in modern times, ruling from 1979 to 1990.
She fought and won many battles. Margaret was called 'The Iron Lady' because of her stern and non-negotiable personality. She didn't give in to anything or anyone. Nothing would make her change her mind, what she thought was right, was right. Some people say she has split Britain.
Their are two views of her. One is that she was a she-devil, milk-snatcher who ruined the lives of many, and the other side who think she was the Sainted Margaret, the lady who saved Britain from its Postwar decline.
Her colleagues disliked her, and in the end she resigned because she didn't have the support of her former conservative party colleagues. Some say it was treachery.
