We need to understand our history because it is all connected. Where we are in our society is based on the events of WW2 and is part of our national identity. Without the understanding of that time or knowing the history we can/will make the same mistakes. The men who returned from the war built the nation you have today. They made the factories, the freeways, the malls, the new inventions, became the teachers, doctors, and lawyers. They came home to build the suburbs and work in the factories. Out of the war came medicine and science as well as new types of weapons. The jet was created and so was the rocket that would eventually carry man to the moon in 1969. From the space program came the computers and the eventual use of the desktop computer. Atomic theory was developed and expanded for good or worse, the start of GPS, microwaves, and cell phones came out of WW2. So, as you can see it is all connected to what you have and who you are today. When we salute our flag each day in our schools and other places we also salute the men who gave us the freedoms we enjoy now. Without them you may be living in a Dictatorship with a man like Hitler running the government. This is why it is important for you to know and understand about WW2.

World War 2 involved many important people. By the very nature of this war many countries and their leaders, both of governments and armies, were involved.
The most important name in the world is Sarah.
if there was no world war 2 there would still be a world war 1. yet there would be a highly likely chance that there still would be wars to follow after world war 1 still concerning the U.S. due to world war 1. my beliefs is that there was a high chance of world war three starting after world war 2 due to nuclear warhead drops by the U.S. on 2 different occasions but failed world war three by the U.S. having a strong military force.
