Because it sets the target audience for a movie, its basically saying why does a book have a story line?
It what the movies is going to be about, sets what the movie is going to be about and makes you think whats going to happen, e.g. the new Batman that's coming out by Christopher Nolan director of Inception would have a story line about batman, not about superman or spider man because is not in the story.

I thought the first movie was really good, it had an interesting story line and enough action to satisfy. The second movie had a lot more action and i think that's why most people liked it more but I thought it had a less thought-out story line. I liked both but basically I think the first one had a better story line and the second one had a lot more action. So if u like a lot of things exploding and shooting you'll probably enjoy the second one. But if u like a good story line and a decent amount of action that can easily please you then you'll probably really like the first one
