He is famous for many things like creating the Canadian flag in 1965 that we now know today, he won a Nobel Peace Prize in 1957 for his Peace Keeping missions with the U.N during the Suez Crisis. He also ensembled the U.N Emergency Force. Everyone knows he was also the 14th prime minister of Canada and introduced many thing to us like universal medical care, student loans, social legislation, Order of Canada, provisions of old age pensions and more. He worked in the Canadian Army of the Royal Flying Corps in 1917 earning him the name 'Mike'. He was a former secretary of the State Of External Affairs. He was the one who implanted English and French as our two official languages too. Basically, he was known for peacekeeping, humanitarianism, and a strong sense of international responsibility that lives to this day. He made Canada into what it is known for today.
