It means that the lamb is born early that it hasn't fully developed (but it may survive with care). Abortion.
yes the younger the baby the weaker its bodily functions...however if you breast feed your premature baby your body makes the milk especially to help your little one catch up..even if the baby wont suckle they can tube or bottle feed it your breast milk
PVCs are rarely dangerous. Almost everyone has them from time to time. They can be caused by stress, infection, or overuse of caffiene or other stimulants. PVCs may also be an early warning of other problems such as a thyroid disorder or heart disease. Something to try to be aware of is if the PVCs …are perfusing or nonperusing, that is do you have a pulse with these irregular beats? As long as the beats are perfusing there is no risk of your blood pressure being lowered by these missed or irregular beats. (MORE)
From what I found the baby was alittle over 21 weeks of development when it was born in Miami.. Website with more info: http://cellar.org/showthread.php?t=13397
if your younger than 16 and older than 40 then having a baby can cause birth defects such as premature birth. also, meeting up with your doctor while pregnant can reduce on having a premature birth.
The youngest surviving baby was 21 weeks, 5 days. As to the youngest to be born, that depends on your definition of "baby".
not really, there is a chance that the baby could have a defect but that can happen to even a baby that was born on time. Premature birth means that the baby was born early, therefore it is smaller than a normal baby and it may not becompletely developed. It all depends on how premature it is.
You had a premature birth aout 5years ago and then had a miscarriage a few months and ended up pregnant two weeks after the miscarriage Should I be worried about another premature birth?
yes. be sure to talk to your doctor, and make appointments so your doctor can help you make sure no accidents acure.
I only know one way i think if the mother drinks a lot (achoholic) it can affects the babies growth. There are many other ways, but that's the only one i know. There are many reasons babies come into the world too soon. Multiple pregnancy is one, incompetent cervix is another, reoccurring kidn…ey infections, STI's, uterine infection, over/under weight mother, high blood pressure, diabetes, multiple first trimester abortions or one or more second trimester abortions, smoking and drug use will also cause premature labor, short time between pregnancies (less than 6-9 months between pregnancies), prior premature birth, stress. Sadly this is only known reasons, some women who give birth prematurely, don't have any risk factors. (MORE)
Explain why a premature baby in an incubator can be dangerously cooled even when the air temperature in the incubator is warm?
The air of environment is cool, and the air that incubator produces is warm,so when there is an air from the environment entering into the incubator, there will be an opposite temperature
if the baby is born of eight months thatere's a probability that it lungs have properly developed yet, inclusive of some vital organs. therefore it may grow up with many diseases.. he also stand a higher risk of premature death, called SIDS, which stands for sudden infant death syndrome. of course,… it willhave to spend some time in the incubator. Well, not really. C-sections are usually performed when there are dangerous complications during the labor. And mothers can always give birth naturally after having a c-section cause the 2 forms of birth don't affect one another in any way
This dream has several different interpretations depending on the situation of the dreamer. If the dreamer is pregnant, then the dream is a frightening but natural dream, probably triggered by changing hormones. Studies have shown that pregnant woman who dream of difficult childbirth actually have -…fewer- complications that those who do not have such dreams. ... If, however, the dreamer is not pregnant, then the dream suggests that an idea, project, or task that the dreamer cared about has been canceled or somehow prematurely ended. (MORE)
Only if the premature birth was enough to affect developmental or other functions in the child.
No, premature birth is not at all a preexisting condition. Premature birth becomes imminent when the doctor thinks the condition of both mother and child would be safe to allow premature birth. In this way it will not be considered as a preexisting condition while applying for Medical insurance.
Look to how long your family held children...that is usually how long you will hold a child.

Three causes of premature birth include 1. Preterm premature rupture of membranes (PPROM), where the bag of waters surrounding the baby breaks prematurely for unknown causes or due to infection 2. Medically indicated preterm birth, where the baby must be delivered prematurely due to maternal o…r fetal complications, such as preeclampsia or hemorrhage in the mother or a compromise in fetal well-being 3. Incompetent cervix, where the cervix opens prematurely Spontaneous preterm birth, in which there is no known cause, accounts for approximately 40% of all cases of premature delivery. (MORE)
That is unlikely to be the cause but not impossible. Obstetricians and gynecologists recommend that women who are pregnant or intending to get pregnant should have flu shots. enfication of risk factors like extremesof age , hypertension, short stature, previous premature labour, etc & taking precautions to address these problems canprevent premature labour.
NO, absolutely not. With regular prenatal care, predominantly for nutritional support and close fetal monitoring a pregnant Crohns patient should experience a normal pregnancy. Supplementation with extra iron, folate, and protein during pregnancy is encouraged because maternal loss of these nutrient…s can occur quickly during a flare. Most medications used to treat Crohn's disease are considered low risk during pregnancy. Active disease poses more risk to the fetus than most Crohn's medications, so the benefits of treatment outweigh the risks. Whatever medications helped maintain remission before pregnancy should be continued during pregnancy with the exception of methotrexate or antibiotics. (MORE)
There are many conditions that can lead to a premature birth. I had placenta abruptio which is a separation of the placenta from the uterine wall. Yes. The pain of pushing a baby out of the vagina can be fatal to women, and many women have died while in childbirth. Cesarean births, (the opening off the womb with a surgical knife) is sometimes used when vaginal birth is too difficult for the mother.

Prepare the incubator or radiant warmers, other equipments needed to resuscitate if needed.neonatologist should be present at birth.
Prematurity is much more common in multiple pregnancy and for mothers who have a history of miscarriages or who have given birth to a premature infant in the past. There are also some medical conditions such as pre-eclampsia, infections or defects in the fetus that will increase the chance of premat…urity. (MORE)
You don't bring up the premature birth, you focus on the newborn and parents. Congratulations on the birth of your baby, congratulations on becoming a mommy/daddy. Either will work and be appreciated.
Prematurity is diagnosed by determining the gestational age of the baby using ultrasound imaging, calculating from a date of conception, using the Dubowitz exam, electronic fetal monitoring, blood samples.
Treatment depends on the complications. Often the premie is placed in a heat-controlled unit, fed oxygen, intravenous feedings, fetal monitoring, massage, may require drugs or surgery.
If you know the approximate date the cow or heifer is due and she calves fairly earlier than that you will know that it is a premature labour. If not, when the calf is born it may be showing some abnormalities in body structure or may just simply be smaller than the average calf at birth.
Yellow discoloration of skin and whites of the eyes that results from excess bilirubin in the body's system.
Premature rupture of membranes occurs when the amniotic sac is torn, causing the amniotic fluid to leak out.
Prematurity is much more common in multiple pregnancy and for mothers who have a history of miscarriages or who have given birth to a premature infant in the past.
The survival rate for gestational period of 21 weeks or less: 0%; 22 weeks: 0-10%; 23 weeks: 10-35%; 24 weeks: 40-70%; 25 weeks: 50-80%; 26 weeks: 80-90%; 27 weeks: greater than 90%.
Minor disabilities like learning problems, poor coordination, or short attention span may be the result of premature birth, but can be overcome with early intervention.
Premature birth is caused by premature labor, placental abruption, placenta previa, premature rupture of membranes, incompetent cervix, maternal toxemia, drug abuse or is usually unknown.
Premature birth affects mental abilities because when you are premature you cant effectively breathe and the brain will not get enough oxygen and some suffers from intraventricular hemorrhage that affects brain.
The prevalence of premature birth is 1 out of every 10 infants born in the United States.
Risk factors depend on weight at birth and if breathing problems exist. Premature boy babies have a lower survival rate than premature girl babies. Infection or a birth defect can also affect outcomes.
The latest research is a new medication (17 alpha-hydroxyprogesterone caproate) which may help to prevent spontaneous premature births.
If the mother receives good prenatal care, eats well, avoids drug/alcohol abuse, and stops smoking. Bed rest or drugs may be given to stop labor. Neonatal intensive care units can also increase survival chances.
The minimum gestation period is 23 weeks gestational age (17 weeks premature) for the infant to survive due to advances in medical technology.
No oxytocin is used to stimulate labor. In humans, oxytocin stimulates milk let down during lactation, uterine contraction during birth and is released during sexual orgasm in both men and women.
Julius Caesar's birth gives rise to the name Cesarean Section for a birth where the child is surgically removed from the womb, instead of being born normally from the birth canal. Such an operation is safe enough now, but in Caesar's day would certainly have resulted in the death of the mother. Howe…ver, it actually had nothing to do with Julius Caesar as he as born in the normal way with nothing unusual and his mother lived and was a driving influence on his life. That Julius Caesar was born by the ancient version of a c-section, is just another historical myth or misconception. (MORE)
It could be due to a variety of reasons, from disease to malnutrition (and not the emaciated-type of "malnutrition"). Diseases such as Bovine Viral Diarrhea and Trichomoniasis can trigger abortions in cows. Cows that don't get adequate nutrition can also abort.
Why cant you people just answer my question? I don't know the answer that's why I'm asking my laptop, obviously!
The risk of giving birth to preemie mature babies is very high. The percentage of babies that die each year due to preematurity is also very high. I am a mother who gave birth to MICRO-PREEMIE TWIN BOYS who were born at only 24wks (which is only 5 months). They weighed only 660grams /1lb 7-1/2oz....…They were on breathing machines, IV's, and lived inside of an isolet( incubator) for 4months. One of my twins had 4 surgeries after birth. We spent 138days (4months) in the Intensive Care Nursery. After a long rocky road we were able to go home New Years Eve 2011. They are now 15months old and are getting bigger and stronger each day. There are many risks associated with having a premature baby (born before 37 weeks gestation). The risk of mortality for the baby is higher in it's first year after birth. Premature babies are also at higher risk of neurological and disability problems, due to the brain not having had the full gesta…tion time to develop. This can also be true of the other vital organs such as the heart, liver, kidneys and lungs, and many premature babies can experience maladies of their vital organs. (MORE)
Symptoms of premature birth include flu-like symptoms and stomach pain. This can be treated by placing the baby in an incubator, feeding the baby through a tube.
