If hydro power is available, go for it. Most places don't have enough water or height to produce much hydro though. I hope nobody has built nuclear where hydro is available.

What is the difference between nuclear and steam and hydroelectric power plants?

These are things that are not comparable. Nuclear power refers to the fuel, just as natural gas, coal, or oil would. Steam refers to how the fuel is used, and the fuel might be natural gas, coal, oil, or nuclear; an alternative to steam would be to use natural gas or oil to power a turbine directly.

Why would you want a scientist working on a nuclear power plant?

Governments want scientists to work on a nuclear power plant to lessen the dependence of fossil fuels. The product of nuclear power plants are atomic energy, a clean energy alternative.

What can you substitute for fossil fuels?

It seems that, for now, nuclear power (i.e uranium, plutonium) is going to be the largest source of non-fossil fuel energy- however, like fossil fuels Nuclear power is not renewable. So as far as renewable energy goes, it would seem that wind turbines, geothermal energy, hydroelectric power and solar power and the main alternative energy sources. In cars however, who knows? Hydrogen looks like a contender, but only time will tell.

What would not be considered renewable forms of energy?

Burning coal, and nuclear reactors using Pu-239

What will happen if the world did not have petroleum and natural gas?

We would be forced to rely on alternative sources of energy - such as nuclear, wind, solar and wave-power.

What would you use if all the fossil fuels run out?

Some possiblities of alternative energy: --Alkanol-based fuels --Nuclear power --Solar/photoelectricity --Hydroelectricity

How strong is nuclear power?

Nuclear power is considered to be incredibly strong. Many people would argue that the power from nuclear power is the strongest in the world.

What are conventional source of energy?

For electricity the main conventional fuels are coal and natural gas, and hydro power would also be considered conventional. Nuclear probably not, though it has been in use over 50 years now. For transport and the chemical industry, oil is the main conventional fuel

What alternative energy is used in Acapulco Guerrero?

Mexico's energy grid includes several renewable sources, including geothermal, nuclear, hydroelectric, wind and solar. None of these however, are on the close proximity of Acapulco. The closest would be the Laguna Verde nuclear power plant, some 223 kilometers (138 miles) to the north of Acapulco, or La Venta wind generation plant, some 512 kilometers (318 miles) to the east of Acapulco.

What are facts Nuclear Power?

i have no fudgging ideaabout nuclear power but i would like to know

Where might you see a hydroeletric power plant?
