There can be many reasons for that. You could have said something that offended her and didnt relize it or if your dating her and you were talking to another girl she probaly thought you were flirting. Its not easy guessing whats in a girls head they all think differently. You just have to try your best to talk to her and find out what you did. Though sometimes its not that easy............

It could mean that she is uncomfortable with physical affection, not ready for that level of intimacy, or simply does not want to hug you at that moment. Respect her boundaries and communicate openly to understand her perspective.
