Straight men never become gay. Ever.
What has actually happened is that a gay man got married to a woman for these reasons:
- thinking/hoping that it would get rid of his gay feelings
- hiding his gayness
- religious pressure
- social pressure
- Personal inability to accept his sexuality
- or many other reasons
As time went on he decided that he had only one life and he wanted to life it properly as he was.
This is often very traumatic for everyone in his family, wife and children, but it has to be faced up to. He may wait till children are grown and moved away, but he can't do that with his wife. It's a very disturbing time for everyone, husband and wife.
