∙ 11y agoHemorrhoids itch and bleed; generally there is some swelling in the surround tissues as the veins become enlarged. You can have hemorrhoids inside and on the outside of the rectum. They can be painful or not, but generally you have itching too, as the tissue are irritated. When the tissues crack and bleed they tend to itch as they try to heal.
Other things which can cause rectal itching include diarrhea, Diabetes, pin worms, skin tags, psoriasis, yeast infections, and HIV.
