It depends on how you use the word. Contributors are not allowed to insult and bully anyone. The site tends to take a zero tolerance approach that sort of thing. Often, someone may use that word while violating other rules in the process. If they are using it to bully, they might give someone's first and last name as well or make it clear they are targeting a specific person. Or they might leave threats or ask how to commit a crime against the person.
Generally, if someone gets banned over using the word stupid, it would not be their first offense on the site. Or, if they do get banned the first time they use it, then they must have broken other rules simultaneously. In some cases, a person might get by with a warning, but then they turn and insult or threaten the supervisor, thus sealing their departure from the site.
