You can remove it, you need to change everything over to a non turbo but it will run, just less power.
http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/TechTips/engine_error_codes.aspx It is to the right of the battery.
should be right up from the battery
You are only slightly right, in the states there was the 7MGTE (single turbo) from 86.5-92..... then the 2jz came about in the mk4 which had the TT option later on. but to answer the ? about the twin turbo supra in 1992 they made a TT model in japan the engine code is 1JZGTE it is a 2.5ltre twin turbo 87-92 which in my opinion is and awesome motor , they also had the 7mgte in earlier models of the mk3 the 1992 supra came with a single turbo and not a twin turbo. the twin turbo came to-be a year later in the 1993 MKIV generation supra.
its right beside the wiper switch
it is located behind the right front headlight. take off the intake hose going into the turbo and it should come out with ease
If you are looking into the engine bay from the driver side fender it is the silver thing to the right of the fuse box.
maybe an dont quote me on this but check on the intake they usually have it stamped on.im assuming you have the 7mgte>24v 3.0L intercooled turbo>or around the cam cases
the knock sensor is located on the driver side of the engine right under the intake it is about 1 in. it is connected so you will have to unplug it and then just screw it off

All the specs for a 1998 Toyota Supra are right here http://www.import-heaven.net/specs_toyota_supra_turbo.shtml
www.kbb.com look it up Im actually looking at buying an 87 supra right now. if its a mk3 supra then I wouldn't pay more than 2500 for a car.
I Don't Know Whether Yours Is Left Or Right Hand Drive, But In UK The Fuse Box Is Under Cover On Drivers Side. Regards M. R.
