By the way, having accounts that you do not use (like credit cards) is not good. So don't open an account and not use it, and don't get credit cards and not use them. Always pay more than your minimum payment for everything.
Once your credit is not looking good anymore, it just takes time to get back on track and have "good" credit. It takes years.
