Dressmakers no longer make cloth. They go to a fabric store and buy it.
It comes off by itself but if it doesnt then just wash it and it should come off then.
Fabric chalk
How do you wash modal fabric?
there is chalk (CaCo3) in the water, which makes the water "hard"... i.e. if you wash your clothes, the fabric becomes stiff. But adding an agent to the chalky water will "soften" it, this means that the chalk will chemically be removed.
There are a few things you can try: -rub gently with a damp cloth -fabric eraser -Mr. Clean Magic Eraser -put white vinegar on a cloth and rub gently, air dry then wash with cool water *Be sure to test each of these on a scrap piece of fabric first. Chalk is difficult to get out of fabric; I prefer water soluble markers.
Chalk
They used scissors and needles. Thread and fabric are tools they use. they also propbaly used diffrent kinds of frabics
Wash them in a long wash.
Cue chalk will wash out with water, however, the dye in the chalk may have to be treated as a stain (depends upon the chalk).
It is used to mark fabric so you can see where you are supposed to cut, sew etc. It shows up better than pen or pencil and you can brush it off afterwards. You can get light tailor's chalk for marking dark fabric and dark tailor's chalk for marking light fabric.
Seamstresses and dressmakers may meet up for events and shows, or work from home or an office. Fabric and tailor shops will also employ dressmakers. Attending local events and asking around fabric stores is a good step in getting in touch with them and seeing what each individual specializes in doing.
