this answer varies for every individual. other variables are: how many mg of suboxone are you taking, and for how many days or weeks have you been using suboxone regularly? So my results may differ slightly, or greatly, from your own. Just from my experience on 4 mg of suboxone after just a one day dose... i know that i can get a "full" effect from oxycodone when waiting 12 hours after my sub dose. I can get close to the full effect at 10 hours after the sub. And i experienced a mild, probably half effect when only waiting 9 hours after the suboxone. Keep in mind, that's after just a single suboxone dose. also, those effects are reached only by iv use. any other way isn't going to cut it.
honestly, you're just gonna have to try and see what happens because it varies for everyone(i have a friend who takes a sub every morning, then enjoys 60mg of oxy 3 hours later? go figure) start with the 12 hour wait or longer.

Anyway, the whole point and purpose of Suboxone is to NOT take hydrocodone, et al. Suboxone, while it does have that semi/quasi/whatever-opioid ingredient, is a narcotic agonist. Not to the point where it makes you deathly sick if taken with narcotics, but it blocks the narcotic effect. The only ingredient of hydrocodone that will have an effect on you is the Tylenol (acetaminophine).
I don't know for sure how long after Sub you can take vicodin, etc and have them work, but when I was having cardiac surgery I was taken off Sub 4 days prior to surgery and my Suboxone doc ordered 10 mg hydrocodone tabs 3 times/day for those 4 days and for 3 days after I got out of hospital, until I would re-start Sub. It was to prevent Suboxone withdrawal. As much as I wish it had, the hydro did not get me high. I think that just having some narcotic in system prevented withdrawal, but didn't do much else. Finally have PERMISSION to take narcotics and they don't get me high! Drat the luck! :-)

∙ 12y agoif you take vicodin right after a suboxone you will not feel it and you will get sick. if you wait 24 hours you should feel it. however if you were taking subs for a while for an opiate addiction, you might not feel much. its weird, but the subs raise your tolerance. you'd think not taking opiates for a while would lower your tolerance, but taking subs really raises it.

∙ 14y agoNo. Suboxone will bind to the opiate receptor very efficently. Not even Heroin will work for a least a day when on suboxone.(speaking from expierence)

Absolutely nothing at all would happen the the buprenorphine will block the tiny amount of hydrocodone and you would feel nothing. Even if you took a hand full the same day as you took suboxone, it would block the hydrocodone.

How long after taking a suboxone can you take an oxy and have its normal effects?
I can answer this question from personal experience. I'm a struggling recovering opiate addict and am now prescribed to Suboxone. I'm prescribed 4mg in the morning and 4mg in the early evening, so 8mg a day. I know that if I wait for 24 hours after taking my last dose of Suboxone I can feel about 60%-70% of the oxy. If I continue to do them, the amount that I am able to feel it goes up. After the third day of being off my Suboxone I can finally feel the oxy 100%.

Methadone and Suboxone should not be taken together. Mixing these medications will cause severe withdrawals no matter how much of each is taken.

You will get very very sick do not do this and it is a waste of money as well because after taking suboxone your opiate receptor will be saturated, so not only will you get sick but you will not even feel the heroin.
If you have taken suboxone will you feel a 30mg OC?
It depends on several different factors: how much suboxone you took, how long have you been taking it, and if you only took a suboxone once between taking pills: how high your tolerance is to oxycodone.If you only took one dose of suboxone (between 2mg and 8mg) you should be able to feel the full effect of the OC after 24 hours. After about 12 hours you'll feel some effects, but definitely not what you would normally expect from 30mg of OC. If you've been taking Suboxone for several days in a row, it would be difficult to guage how long it will take for you to feel the full effects. Suboxone has a 36 hour half life so it builds up in your system. The longer you take it and the higher the dose, the longer it will take for it to leave your system completely.
If you took suboxone 4hrs after percocete what will happen?
nothing you will be fine. The percocet is already mostly out of your system in about five hours. Just do not ever take suboxone and then take and kind of opiate pain relievers because you will get very sick.
Can you take ultram with suboxone?
I tried to take Ultram after I was dosed down off of Suboxone. The Ultram had absolutely no effect for about a month after my I took the last Suboxone (I was persistent!). I think it's the naloxone in the Suboxone that blocks you from getting pain relief, or a high feeling. Also, once I finally began to feel some effect from the Ultram, it was alot duller and less effective than when I was taking it prior to Suboxone treatment.

no the suboxone blocks the "high" feeling. if you are not going into withdrawal yet do not take suboxone as it will push you into full withdrawal and you will be sick. it should not be started until 12 hours into withdrawal.
Is it safe to be on suboxone and Valium?
It is safe to be on Suboxone and Vyvanse at the same time. However, Vyvanse is considered to be a narcotic and Suboxone blocks the effects of narcotics. There would be no effect from Vyvanse if taken.
