There's also another digital component that sends the information to the receiver regarding the songs being played, etc. The digital age is overtaking everything, including all aspects of broadcast in one form or another. There's benefits as well as drawbacks and it'll still be a few years before everything sots itself out. What the future has in store, remains to be seen.
