Yes. My hair was straight with only a little wave, I put it in a perm a year ago and it was awesome...just remember, it's permanent. I'm sick of it now, but I have to wait until it finishes growing out. If I don't do anything to my hair, the top of it is straight and then near my ears it's wavy. Not so awesome.
It depends on what kind of hair perm you got. With a straightening perm(rebonding),you actually need to use straightening shampoo to straighten it to keep your hair that way for months. If you got a curly perm however, don't take the risk until your curly perm has fully grown out.If not, you waste your money that you spent to curl your hair because your hair will become straight too quickly and the perm won't last for as long as you would expect.
yes it was a spiral perm if you look on the dime vision DVD when he was a kid he had medium straight hair and the late 80s had kinky curly have it is just a old spiral perm that's why his hair goes straight down.
It won't make any difference to the layers but your perm will be higher where the hair is shorter. It will look good actually. I think it will look more natural.
A perm is permanent. It doesn't matter about the straightness of your hair. A perm breaks down the bonds in the hair that make it straight. The perm will last until your hair grows out.
