∙ 12y agoNo not on you. However please note that shingle are infectious to other people. Shingles are the same as chicken pox (the same virus) thus if you have shingles you can give other people chicken pox. Also NORMALLY you can only get shingles if you have had chicken pox earlier in life.
In India when chickenpox was prevailing I haven't seen the patients taking shower till the rashes dry up..ie an average 10 days..and for skin irritation (I am 64 years now)the patients use neemleaves branches for brushing and no fried items till cured and at the entrance they use to hang neem leave branch that there is some one at home having chickenpox and a warning that this is infectious.. Ultimately my answer is no showers for a minimum 10 days...after the blister breaks,subsides cold shower with slow movements and tropical cream after the bath to be continued for next 1 week...

∙ 15y agoYes, shingles are not contagious . However, the temperature and force of the water may be painful, so keep the water temperature and flow as low as you can tolerate. You will need to obtain prescription medication to treat this painful disease, as it may last longer than viral infections seen with cold sores.
