do you mean stopping the character from moving or are they sunk/partially sunk into the ground? Being sunk into the ground either means that you haven't centred the character properly and as such the character is still able to move and do things but it is suggested that you either maker the characters centre bottom-middle and the collision event to only effect you if you run into a wall and not the ground.
