It depends on how long you have been on this regimen. If you are at a point where you feel that you could be addicted then you need to see a doctor and discuss options for getting off of them. The most common way is to gradually decrease your dose over a period of time in order to keep side effects and "that need to have it" feeling at a minimum. See your doctor. This type of situation is very common and the doctors know it. They will help you to get off them the right way, through tapering off. If your addicted, no doctor is going to cut you off completely. They know that it could have potential consequences if they did.

No, i take ativan .5 and can not feel much of a difference after a few weeks. it does take the edge off fo anxiety some what , but ive taken Valium v cuts and roche 10 for the fun of it when i was younger. There not it the same league. in my case ativan isn't enough for me reason im on here looking for something stronger but for anxiety you cant beat 2mg zanax or even lower dose of the blues. im sure it has to do with tolerance but hope you found this helpfull.
