Well it is hard to tell because I do not know him but I would say that if he talks to you and gave you a gift he probably has some feelings for you. If you are really young, sometimes have a crush on a girl can be embarassing no matter how pretty or flattering you may be. So he may just be telling people that you are annoying to defend himself. You might say something like "X I don't understand why you talk to me on the phone and give me gifts then tell people you think I am annoying. It really hurts my feelings. If you do think I am annoying, could you just tell me instead of telling everyone else please?"
