You can change the ignition cylinder on your 1999 Mercury Mystique by removing the retaining ring at the top of the ignition cylinder. The ignition cylinder will slide out. Remove the wiring harness.
Begin by removing the belt from your 1999 Mercury Mystique alternator. Remove the wiring harness from the back of the alternator. Remove the alternator retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install your new alternator.

first, take the door panels off. next, there are four screws you have to remove. after that the speakers can be removed from the door, do not forget to disconnect the wiring harness from the speaker.

From the engine compartment , towards the passenger side of the engine compartment , you will see where the wiring harness is bolted to one end of the PCM at the firewall ( most of the PCM is " hidden " behind the glove compartment )
