Start with permission... if you do not own the building the room is in you will have to have permission to do any work.
Next take a good look at the room and determine what you want to do with it. A floor plan (to scale) with all doors, windows, closets, electrical outlets & switches, heat vents, and any other necessities (cable, phone jacks etc) marked will help.
Take an inventory of all of the furniture you currently have and compile a list of what you will need. Remember, a coat of paint can make something so-so into a great addition to your room.
Next make a budget... know exactly how much money yo have to spend on your project... it does no good to spend all your money on a flat screen TV if you need a bed.
Now look at some decorating magazines. You may find inspiration there... remember a good idea is a good idea, even if you don't like the colour it is displayed in.
Speaking of colours... look to your wardrobe for inspiration there. If yo wear a colour a lot, most likely it is one you can decorate with and not only get a great look but also a room you will be comfortable in.
Now you get to the fun stuff. Look into various retail outlets for your bedding. A comforter can be the jumping off place for a co-ordinated, yet personal look to a room. There usually are lines, draperies and accessories to match or co-ordinate.
Then look into the personal touches, this is the area where your personality comes out.
You create a room and then you can decorate it and you name the room and it will show up on the rooms list.
Nothing really, just some fun and the chance to decorate your own room.
What you have to do is if you own a house in Megaton than you go to Moira Brown at Craterside supply and you can buy themes or objects from her. I do not know how you do this if you own a room at tenpenny tower.

Every teenager needs privacy and a place to call their own. But, the bedroom is more than just a place to sleep! Teenagers need somewhere to do their homework, and most likely this is where they will do it. Also, teenagers usually hang out with their friends in their room. They won't want to have to share it with a younger brother or sister. Also, their own room is something they can decorate to express themselves...
