No the pills would not work effectively. Your partner needs to be tested for this STD and if he is positive, he will need to take medication to clear up the infection. If cost is an issue, there are a couple of options:

  • Contact your local Department of Health of family planning office to find out about free or low-cost treatments.
  • Ask your health care provider if expedited partner therapy for chlamydia is legal in your state, and whether you can get a prescription for your partner.

That depends on whether he had intercourse with someone infected after he started treatment. If you're treating your partner without his knowledge, you're already assuming that you gave your partner chlamydia. It's considered assault to give someone medication without his consent, and breaks a number of other laws as well. Don't go this route -- it's not worth it.

No, you can't create chlamydia. You can only get it if you have sexual contact with someone who is infected. It's spread by oral, anal, and vaginal sex; genital-genital contact; sharing sex toys; and birth to an infected woman.

You can't get chlamydia from sharing a bath with someone. You should avoid oral, anal, and vaginal sex, and genital-genital contact, until seven days after completing one-dose treatment or until seven-day treatment is complete.
