This might help you a little bit,I have a 96 Cherokee that dose that, took it to shop still having problem your flywheel may be the problem you starter maybe in a dead spot on your flywheel(Missing a tooth)
probally have to get new guages.
The battery power is not reaching the starter. You have other problems...
It could be the starter, keyswitch, neutral lockout switch, wiring connector or any of a number of other problems. Unfortunately you have to just track it down.
Check the fuse.
First check the wiring to the starter motor solenoid, battery connections and earth wires to make sure they are tight.Other problems could be with the ignition switch if rest is OK.
Yes. They work fine if the lights are off (ie. during the daytime) but when the lights are on all the brake lights are off. Our Grand Cherokee has tons of problems. The ac sometimes does not work, the gauges go crazy, the power windows play dead sometimes. We got it checked out. Mechanic says our body control module is going bad.
Answer location of check gauges lightthe check gauges light is on your instrument panel when it comes on it lights up saying check gauges
lights are apparently (according to haynes manual) soldered in.
The wire that goes from your battery to your starter, or just your starter, very common problem
check the wiring connections at the battery and the starter. Both places can give starting problems. The dash lights could be a separate problem. Check the fuses for the lights.
You can if you plan to convert all of your electrical system, starter, lights, gauges and accessories to 24 also. And change your battery to 2 batteries connected in series. Why would you want to??
Sounds like a crank sensor - a car of mine did that and that was the cause of its failure.
ignition switch is going out..........or you have a short..........
probally have to get new guages.
Since all of the 99 Acura TL dash lights and gauges are giving a problem, then the power or ground wires need to be checked. These are the only two things that are common to all of the items that are giving problems.
If a 1987 Chevy Suburban has lights and horn, but no ignition, gauges, radio, or interior lights it could be a ground wire problem. It is possible that there is a short somewhere. Also check the dome light for a possible water leak in the headliner.
If the other lights are turning on, you probably have a burned out bulb or a bad connection.
