My 2006 Impala SS Uses close to that, varies a little each time. I never add any, its just low when changed. Took to dealer, something like 1 litre per 2000 KM is their maximum tolerance, so any less than that they won't look at. Since I don't add any, it don't bother me any. Not sure what causes it though.
How many quart of transmission fluid is requier for a Chevy impala 2007
it takes 5 quartz including the filter
Collapsed hydraulic lifter? - try a quart of mystery oil
no
If it's a V8 then it will hold 6 qts. with a new filter. V6 5 qts. with filter. If it is an 8.1L 2500 it takes 6.5qts. with mine I usually have to add a quart between changes too...it just eats a lot of oil.
Ideally, none. Realistically a quart in 1000 miles is too much.
4 quarts in the pan and 1 quart for the filter, so that's a 5 quart oil change with filter.
5.5 quart oil capacit
the Chevy uplander takes 4.0 quart's
It would depend more on how many miles you go before it needs a quart of oil. A healthy engine should go between oil changes without adding oil.
According to GM, yes. My personal opinion is it's excessive.
5 quart's of oil..
