the female will get fat then they will mate
Bettas won't spawn at all if there is not a bubble nest.
No, they aren't
Bettas are mature enough to breed at 6mths. They normally only make a nest when there is a female present.
Well my male betta,Right when I got it 1 or 2 weeks later it had bubbles, calleds bubble nests they are together on the side of the bowl, and after that it had over 75 bubbles! I saw him make one a couple of times it looks like he is reaching for air and goes on the surface of the bowl? so, 1-4 weeks he starts makeing them,And he makes about 75 in 1 week or 2!
Not technically after pregnancy...but after the female has dropped her eggs and the male has fertillised (aussie spelling) them, the male is the one that tends to the bubble nest and looks after the eggs. He will protect the bubble nest from everything including the female. Assuming the bettas are in a small tank, he will probably attack her so best take her out once they have had their fun.
Actually, with bettas it's the male that cared for the bubble nest rather than the female. You should leave the male with the nest and separate the female.
Yes they can; it's not typically about the colours, but whether the male will build a bubble nest for the particular female you are trying to breed him with.
they build it to mate even if there is no female Betta the male builds by instinct and a change in water triggers it. hope that helps.
Yes and No. The betta will make a bubble nest, but it is helpful to the betta to have the bottom half a styrofoam cup in the tank for the betta to build it on, it would most likely build one anyway if there was a place to build one though. Good luck!
it doesn't because it is not a human. he only needs a bubble nest. female bettas make eggs to be placed into them by the male.
A Bettas nest is simply a mass of bubbles at the surface of the tank. (usually in a corner) It may contain bits of plant etc if they are available.
you cand use half a styrophonme cup, a almond leaf enything that floatd and seams good. as lo g as its not the color blue! bettas hate the color blue!
