I believe that the normal blood pressure is 120/80, so having blood pressure around this is pretty normal. Some additional information on what the 120/80 means: Blood Pressure is made up of 2 values - e.g. 120/80 mmHg. The first value is your Systolic Blood Pressure - the force with which your heart contracts to push the blood out of your heart. The second value is Diastolic Blood Pressure - the force with which your heart relaxes and fills up with blood again.

∙ 16y ago136/72 is fine. I have been doing a lot of BP research lately. After donating blood my pressure went down to 80/60. I went to see if that was too low and the answer was no, not if you are not dizzy or feeling weak. This morning I am 125/77. My husband has high blood pressure and his lies around 166/97 and 146/98. So there you have it. I'm low, he's high and you are fine.

∙ 15y agoA blood pressure of 120 over 90 is just on the border of high blood pressure, because of the second (diastolic) value. If you test again and the first number is 140 or above, or the second value is 90 or above, you should speak to a Doctor Who can advise you on ways to reduce this, to reduce your risk of Heart disease. At first this is likely to be suggestions to eat more healthily and take more exercise.

∙ 10y agoThe systolic is a bit high (prehypertension) but your diastolic is exactly where it should be. Pulse is a bit high, perhaps you weren't fully rested. If you're taking hypertension medicine then this would be about right if you're medicine is working properly. If not then it's nothing to worry about.
