I totaled my Mustang and was able to buy it back from the insurance company. They gave me the Blue-Book value less my $500 deductable. They would not insure it after I repaired it, I had to switch insurance carriers to get coverage.

What will happen if you cant pay back a tile loan and you junked the car?

If you can't pay back the title loan from a pawn shop due to being totaled and you got a cut check from your insurance company, I suggest you use that check to pay off that loan to avoid a lawsuit because the pawn shop will not see that insurance check you got from the totaled car. If you don't pay them off and they know the car is totaled, then they will come after you in civil court for the amount of the loan + damages + fees. If you got no check from the insurance company then they will just come after you for the loan. They do not fully own the vehicle because you did not sign over the title to the pawn shop. You are not allowed to sign it over to them unless you are really selling it. Some states do allow this but check with your state laws about it. All they are going to do is file a lawsuit against you for the amount of the loan unless you made payment agreements with the Pawn Shop which I would do.

You have been overpaid by a insurance company can they claim it back?

What are the benefits of life insurance settlement?

A life settlement is a financial transaction in which the owner of a life insurance policy sells an unneeded policy to a third party for more than its cash value and less than its face value. Until recently, if a policyowner opted out of a policy by surrendering the policy or allowing it to lapse, the additional value was relinquished back to the issuing life insurance company.

How can I find out if a letter stating there is unclaimed moneys are held for me from union fidelity life insurance company of new york are legitimate?

How do I trace the original insurance company of union fidelity life if it goes back 45+ years?

How do you find the life insurance company that you paid into for 3 yrs you have lost the policy and dont remember who the life insurance company was?

Can you go back and see if you can find any paperwork at all? Find any trail of the payments you made? Maybe your bank can help. Where did you buy it? Go back and talk to the agent. Even if you did find out what company, the policy is probably in a laps and to reinstate it will cost more than buying new insurance uinless your health has changed for the worse. You can call the insurance company and they usually can find your policy by social security # and DOB.

After settling with the insurance company for a totaled car do you keep the car or does the insurance compnay?

Legally, if the company pays you for the totaled vehicle, it belongs to them. You can offer (if they don't) to by the scraps back. This would be deducted from your settlement and you would be paid the difference.

Does insurance help with buying a new vehicle if your car gets totaled?

Yes, they will help, but they won't buy you a new car. Once your car is deemed totaled, the insurance company will usually pay you the value of the car before the accident minus your deductible. You can either buy back the totaled car and repair it or use the money towards a new car.

Can you buy back your totaled financed car lets say my car is financed and I get into an accident that totals my car. I know the insurance will pay out the bank but can i still buy it back after?

Yes, you can usually but it back because it is then between you and the insurance company. But keep in mind your insurance company normally pays the ACV (Actual Cash Value) which may not be what you actually owe on the vehicle unless you carry Gap insurance. Gap Insurance is an additional coverage that covers the balance of the loan between the ACV and remaining Balance.

Are you say that you will not be liable to pay your health insurance back after the other person's insurance co pays you?

That might be true....but not likely. Your health insurance company will follow up with the other company and you might find yourself in litigation due to this. There is no such thing as double dipping with insurance company. My children were recently in an auto accident. BCBS has already contacted us to inquire the other company that is responsible for payment.

Can the owner keep a car that is totaled but is still operational?

Usually you can, you can buy it back from the insurance company for a "salvage" price, you will then have a salvaged title and wont beable to insure the vehicle with full coverage any longer only liability. Talk to the adjuster about it.
