IF a person dies WHILE Committing a FELONY, the policy will not pay out when he dies.
I'm not sure if DUI counts in this answer...I think it may depend... if they hit someone and it was manslaughter it would not pay. IF they were driving while intoxicated and someone hit them ...I'm not sure...it may depend on the coroner report.
However I can say that if someone was robbing a bank, or opened a crackhouse and was shot by police while in the act of trying to apprehend the person...the claim would not be paid.
