My weimaraner did this last night. She had horrible gas and had loose stools, but she never actually vomitted and seems fine today. If your dog shows signs of being sick or you are worried, a CALL to an emergency vet can save you LOTS of money rather than just throwing fido in the car and taking off for the vet.

∙ 9y agoIf your dog just ate part of your bar of soap, she might get sick. However, it will likely only be mild. She will probably vomit. However, if it lasts for over 24 hours or she becomes lethargic, you should call a vet.

∙ 12y agoNo. I wouldn't recomend it. It dries out the dog's skin. When the soap dries out the dog's skin it makes the dog's really itchy and it makes them kind of suffer.
