It depends on how the boyfriend felt about how little and dumb the lie really was. No one enjoys being lied to, especially to the person you're going to spend the rest of your life with. Try to patch things up, and maybe you can become friends again. If you still have feelings for him and still want to be together, apologize for what you said, as stupid and insignificant as it may seem to you. It'll mean a lot to him.
