Your laptop wont work anymore it only open until the welcome sign and then says rvhostexe error how do i fix this?

First off RVHOST.EXE is not a windows core file. Meaning that this file can be deleted and it will not mess up any other programs or anything else on your computer. Its located in local Disc C://windows/system32 folder.

This will take some patience to fix. If your not to computer savvy you may want to hire someone or find someone that may be able to fix this for you.

Try to boot up in safe mode : Most if not all computers can be booted in safe mode by simply hitting F8 on your key board as your computer first starts up. Example: Pressing the on button press the F8 button over and over until it shows a screen saying Boot windows normally: Don't boot normally book Safe Mode with Networking. EXAMPLE SAFE MODE WITH NETWORKING

Once booted up open task-manager ALT+CTRL+DELETE

When task-manager is loaded up click on the processes tab look around for a RVHOST.EXE process. Left mouse click it and hit end process now. A Window will pop up asking if you want' to Stop the process. Click YES!

If you didn't see RVHOST.exe in the processes Double click on My Computer under the start menu. Up top you will see a magnifier glass click on it it will pull up a search bar on the left side of your screen. Just type in RVHOST.EXE it will do a complete search of your hard drive and find that one particular file.

Now that you have the file Create a zip folder on your desktop: Example Right click your desktop background and go down until you see a create a new zip folder in the list. Click it. Name it backup or something that you will remember easily. Click the file in the window you just found the file known as RVHOST.EXE and Drag it into the ZIP Folder.

Once you backed up your unwanted file you can delete the file from your system32 folder. Right click the file and Click on delete. A window will pop up asking if you want to continue. Click YES! Go to your recycle bin and right click it and hit the Empty Recycle Bin!

Now go to CNET.COM or Download.com

Once there click on mac/windows/Linux OS and search for MALEWAREBYTES once it pulls up the next page. Click on download now. It will pull up a new windows that you will have to go up to the top of the browser and click it. It will say install/ Run / Etc. Click RUN or INSTALL. Its just a male-ware protection client that's free trust me. Once its installed click do a full system scan. Once the scan is completed do it again and again until it pulls up nothing. This will take a long while.

You can now go to CNET.Com or Download.com again. When you get to your OS Platform search for Registry Cleaner Software. Click on one that has good reviews and a high number of downloads. Open it up and continue to clean up your registry until its squeaky clean. This is pretty much all. If you have any further questions or if this did'NT solve your problem you may just want to do a complete reinstallition of your current Operating System.
