Answer:
Well if by sick you mean spitting up a lot or having a lot of gas on his stomach, it could be an allergy to the formula or perhaps a lactose intolerance. I would suggest talking to your pediatrician and/or trying a soy formula. I also would suggest getting some baby gas drops. If he's swallowing a lot of air when he feeds whether it be by bottle or breast, the gas could be making his stomach upset.
Answer:
I'm also assuming you mean spitting up. Spitting up small amounts after feeding is usually normal. If the amounts are small and the baby seems otherwise alert, well hydrated (making diapers often), and generally happy then it is probably nothing to worry about. Some things you can do to reduce it are to not feed more than 2-3 ounces at a time (for new borns), burp the baby after every ounce or so, keep the head elevated for a while after feeding, and to try different nipples.
If the baby seems uncomfortable, is no longer making wet diapers regularly, is spitting up more than a little bit, is getting a lot of rashes, has blood in the stool, is not gaining weight, or does not seem to be acting normally then it is time to call the doctor.
