There are four types of the South American Woolly Monkey -Brown Woolly Monkey, (Lagothrix lagotricha) -Gray Woolly Monkey, (Lagothrix cana) -Colombian Woolly Monkey, (Lagothrix lugens) -Silvery Woolly Monkey, (Lagothrix poeppigii)

A barrigudo is a large, dark South American monkey of the genus Lagothrix.

The woolly monkeys are the genus Lagothrix of New World monkeys, usually placed in the family Atelidae.

Slim New World monkeys with long limbs and prehensile tails. There are several species in the genera Ateles and Lagothrix. They vary in color from black to red-brown and are very agile tree climbers.

There are two animals that could qualify--llamas, and the yellow-tailed wooly monkey (Lagothrix Lagotricha). Wooly monkeys are found throughout Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Brazil, and Venezuela. There are four different species of wooly monkey, including the silver wooly monkey.
