All music is style and preference. I think its the lyrical content that is more concerning. Having said that, in all honesty, I am a Christian, a serious student of the Bible, and I personally do not care for contemporary Christian music, but rather my favorite band is Slipknot! Now, if your familiar with the lyrical content, it certainly isn't Christiany. I more enjoy the style, the agression etc of the music. It would be great music to play during any bullets flying bloodbath war movie scene! Lyrically I could care less what he thinks hes trying to say, but to be honest I probably am not picking the best music for me to listen to when I crank by stereo up in my truck, but not to sound flippant, but the Devil hasn't reached out and "possesed" me yet over that one!

Having said that, I know for a fact, that within Christian music circles there are every style of music, including that of the death metal, death core genre, punk, thrash, etc.

But is it satanic? Hmmmmm,,,I think it is frequently used to satanically influence people against God, but so is money! But is the music itself Satanic? No. Its music, I think its more the personal emphasis one places on their music than it is the music itself, as to whether it is Satanically influenceing them or not.

If your someone that gets all absorbed by the message being singed, screamed, or gargled!!! about, then yeah, its not a good thing, but if your just enjoying it, maybe venting a little aggression from work on the drive home, or whatever, then I cant say there is anything inherently wrong with that. You cant say these things are any more wrong than Christians who think it is ok to listen to popular Country Music songs? Ouch, I mean have you ever listened to some of the ignorant things that are said in those songs!!!!

Matthew 4:7

Luke 4:12

1 Corinthians 10:9

Answer:

On the one hand... Jesus Christ, the Creator God of the Old Testament [John 1:3] WANTS His servants to test Him -- in the proper spirit; a spirit of Fear and Faith:

"Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so that there will be food enough in My Temple; if you do, I will open up the windows of heaven for you and pour out a blessing so great you won't have room enough to take it in! Try it! LET ME PROVE IT TO YOU!" (Mal.3:10 LVB Living Bible)

And on the other hand... Jesus rejects a shallow "double-dog-dare" style test of shallow human [satanically-influenced] hostile skepticism:

"...'The Scriptures also say, ''Do not put the Lord your God to a foolish test.'' " (Luke 4:12 LVB)

"...for the Lord your God, who Lives among you, is a jealous God. His anger will flare up against you and wipe you from the face of the earth. Do not test the Lord your God as you did when you complained at Massah." (Deut.6:15-16 NLT New Living Translation)

Because, as it also says in the Bible: "There is a time for everything, a season for every activity under heaven." (Eccle.3:1 NLT)

Therefore, there is a time [and attitude] in which we may "test" God. And a time not to.

In christian religion, Christmas comes from Jesus, Gods son. It was his birth.

Answer:

Christmas comes down to us from a series of ancient pagan Babylonian religious traditions and practices that involves "tree worship" [druidism]. See Jeremiah 10:1-4.

God doesn't command His people to observe [or even learn] this eco-destructive and Commandment-breaking idolatrous practice of the heathen.

Nor in the Bible is the pagan custom and tradition of "celebrating birthdays" commanded by God to be observed by the called of God.

"Precious in the sight of the Lord is the DEATH of His saints." (Ps.116:15) Not their births.

Which, in Jesus' case is the PASSOVER... the first COMMANDED annual Holy Day observance written in the Word of God.

"A good name is better than precious ointment; andthe day of DEATH than the day of one's birth." (Eccle.7:1)

The name of Jesus Christ was slapped onto this ungodly pagan practice by an apostate, satanically-influenced "false Christianity" [see Matt.24:4-5]. Satan merely added "Christ" to the ancient rites and rituals of the winter solstice and other season changes each year... and no one had to be spiritually awakened or change their ways at all. All they had to do was party, get presents and gorge themselves with food and candy. [Satan didn't even have to put Christ's name on Easter... yet the world automatically associates the pagan fertility symbols of rabbits and eggs of the goddess "Ishtar" with Jesus Christ, today -- and false modern professing Christianity regards it as the most sacred of all the days of the year]

The majority of modern professing Christianity doesn't read or know what God's Word says, anyway... and Satan has kept it that way. Anti-christ teachings and teachers were splitting off from God's true church since its inception.

"...ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there MANY antichrists... They went out from us [John is speaking to the church of God], but they were not of us; for had they been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us." (I John 2:19)

There is no "repenting" for anyone to have to do under "Christmas" or any of the other biblically unsupported modern professing Christian practices today.

A few shallow emotional human stirrings are always good to convince a person of having a "religious experience." But, mostly, just, "come as you are"... unrepentant and unknowledgeable in the Word of God... and just "believe" that God approves of it and is happy with us for doing it, because men have put Jesus' name on it.

Christmas came straight out of Satan's book of deception... which says "appeal to the carnal minded selfishness of the flesh." It's certainly not commanded by God in His Word. Birthday observances are utterly pagan.

"...it came to pass the third day, which was PHARAOH'S BIRTHDAY..." (Gen.40:20).

"...HEROD'S BIRTHDAY was kept..." (Matt.14:6).

Christmas is as paganly influenced as most of the rest of modern professing Christianity. And the only thing we can be sure of is... if God's Word commanded us to observe it... it wouldn't be as popular as it is today... and even more importantly -- the world wouldn't do it.
