(äd t˘es 9 -t˘ıf ˘ı-cän 9 -d¯um)—Lat.: for testifying. Any person sought “ad testificandum” is sought to appear as a witness. The term is generally used to refer to a type of habeas corpus writ to bring a prisoner to court to testify. See subpoena ad testificandum.
