The inventor of tres leches cake is unknown. However it is suspected that the idea of soaking cake in liquids is a European idea. During World War ll, tres leches cake became very popular and the Nestlé Company believes that they contributed to the recipe in a great way.

Flan is a popular Mexican custard. Sopapillas and churros are Mexican style doughnuts. There are several Mexican pastries but my favorite is Tres Leches cake.

A tres leches cake contains dairy products and must be stored in the refrigerator at a temperature of around 40 degrees to remain safe to eat. To store leftovers, wrap the cake in plastic wrap or waxed paper and eat it within three days.
