Britain won the war led by General Wolf.

^Actually, General WOLFE was the British Commander in the Seven Years' War at the Plains og Abraham. The French were defeated by the British at that battle and both Wolfe and the opposing General Montcalm were killed.

The War of 1812 is largely considered a British/Canadian victory as the Americans were not able to fulfill their aims of invading Canada and suffered more casualties. Notable names associated with this war are Sir Isaac Brock, British Commander of victories at Queenston Heights and the Siege of Detroit, Tecumseh, the Shawnee tribe leader who assisted the British, notably at Detroit, and Laura Secord, who warned the British of an impending American invasion. There's a lot to read on the War of 1812 which will enlighten you on this matter.
