is it getting gas to the carb? they opels should have a clear fuel filter make sure u see gas in it. if u do maybe spray a little starting fluid directly into the carb. or might need new ignition coil if its not getting a spark.. might as well change the distributor cap, rotor, and the condenser too! good luck
Actually , with the electronic ignition there are no points , and the scheduled maintainence guide shows to change the spark plugs at ( 100,000 miles )
Spark plugs, yes. Points, no.
It probably needs a tune-up, new points, condensor, rotor and spark plugs will do wonders for it.
Unless it has a diesel engine, yes it has points (could be electronic) and spark plugs.
Standard spark plugs, 50000 miles. Platinum tip spark plugs, 100000 miles.
change the plugs at 60,000 miles.
you can get upto 100,000 miles on a set of plugs
regular copper plugs (suppressor or resistor) 30k miles single platinum plugs with DIS type I or type II ignition 45k miles single platinum with distributor (presumably HEI) or COP ignition 60k miles double platinum plugs 60k miles iridium plugs 100k to 120k miles, possibly longer This assumes that you do not have a known or suspected problem with any of your spark plugs
Depends on vehicle Electronic ignition fuel injection ? longer intervals between tune-up 100,000 miles not unreasonable Points, Carb.? probably every 15-30,000 miles
120000 miles with original iridium plugs.
No. Points went out decades ago.
platinum plugs 75,000 miles. resistor plugs 30,000.
